I will dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
